Compassion

People can learn a lot from horses, but at the forefront is undoubtedly 'Compassion'.

Our work with horses is all about cultivating a balanced and respectful relationship, based on deep communication and mutual understanding. Some essential aspects are central. They are the building blocks of a harmonious bond between human-horse, but also human-human:

1. Compassion and Empathy - We always approach horses with deep compassion, prioritizing their well-being and autonomy. This philosophy not only teaches us to be kinder and more understanding towards horses, but also encourages a greater sense of empathy that extends to all our interactions with living things.

2. Improved Communication and Connection - By interacting with horses in an empathetic way, we build effective communication and deeper connections. By using minimal aids that do not generate pain or fear, we create an environment of mutual understanding and trust, where we can communicate through subtle signals and shared experiences. Horses (just like team members) show pride in their achievements when they are guided outside their comfort zone in a connecting way.

3. Essential Care for General Wellbeing - Providing essential care to horses is crucial for their physical as well as their emotional well-being. By focusing on general well-being (physical and mental) we can ensure that horses live fulfilling lives, free from unnecessary burdens that undermine emotional well-being.

4. Enlightenment - We strive to minimize unnecessary interventions in the lives of horses, which means daring to question some prejudices. This approach leads to self-reflection and personal growth, and promotes greater awareness of our impact on the world around us.

5. Mindfulness and Presence - Compassionate interaction with horses requires presence and mindfulness, which leads to a deeper connection and greater awareness of their needs and desires.

6. Personal Growth and Emotional Intelligence - Working with horses offers remarkable opportunities for personal growth and development. By cultivating empathy, patience and understanding, we increase our emotional intelligence and enrich our relationships with others.

By following these 6 principles, we strive for a deep and respectful relationship between people and horses, which allows us to grow and learn together. Curious about how we put this into practice?
